[checked 7/9/21 6:30pm]Based on the current information, our committee have made the decision to cancel WFL Training for Thursday 9th September.
Note there's no booking for Development Training on Friday 10th September anyway.
The committee are meeting again on Thursday to make a decision on leagues, as well as trainings for next week. This is once we have heard further information from both ASB and Sport NZ.

We would again like to reiterate that no team must play their remaining games and any defaults will not be met with a fine. If any teams do not want to finish their season, they can communicate this to Operations Manager Blair@capitalfootball.org.nz.

[checked 7/9/21 6:30pm]With the announcement that the Wellington region will move to COVID Alert Level 2 from this Wednesday we are happy to announce that we will be making a return to community hockey this weekend. Games will go ahead at all Wellington Hockey venues and operating under the Level 2 protocols.
The remaining 5 weeks of our Open Grade competition will resume from this Saturday (September 11) with the season extending 3 weeks to complete in full.
Our Secondary competition will resume the following week from Monday the 13th of September. All grades of our Primary competition will also be making their return this Saturday.
Check out the draws for our Open Grade and Secondary competitions here. We are still working to update the Primary Grade draws and they will be available to the public ASAP.

[checked 7/9/21 6:30pm]NW are committed to seeing out the 2021 Winter season, however we are unable to resume the competition until we reach level 2 or below. NW will be putting the following plan in place to create some certainty for our members moving forward.
Netball will not run through the school holidays or into Term 4. View the last possible dates for finals through the link on the right.

[checked 7/9/21 6:30pm]New Zealand Rugby (NZR) has confirmed the Bunnings Warehouse NPC, Farah Palmer Cup (FPC) and Heartland Championship, outside of Auckland, will recommence from Friday 17 September. At Alert Level 2, teams at all levels of rugby can safely return to training from tomorrow, but NZR has stipulated that matches will not resume until Friday 17 September, to ensure players have sufficient time to safely prepare for a return to play. |

It is fantastic news that we will be moving to alert level 2 from 23:59 this evening (Tuesday 7 September). We will be publishing comprehensive level 2 rules and measures on our website (under the COVID-19 tab) as we receive them from sport NZ over the next couple of days.
