Wellington City Council have enabled the stadium to be accessed by individuals who maintain strict Covid Alert Level 3 Public Health Protocols for your workouts and exercise. We remind you this must only be within your OWN bubble.

Badminton Wellington Centre will be closed until further notice as per the government regulations in level 3 & 4.

Bowls Bowls NZ

  • Masks MUST be worn inside Bowling clubs, and indoor 'greens' such as Pukekohe, Waverly etc.
  • Clubrooms have a limit of 50 people indoors.
  • It is recommended that bowling ‘greens’ should also be limited to 50 persons (this is less than the 100 the government recommends and is instead a reflection of the size of a bowling green).
  • All clubs must have a QR code and all members/visitors MUST either scan in or be recorded in a visitors book.

No spectators are permitted at College Sport Wellington fixtures, while under Alert Level 2.  This is particularly important given we are heading into the semi-final and final stages of various competitions.

Based on the current information, our committee have made the decision to cancel WFL Training for Thursday 9th September.
Note there's no booking for Development Training on Friday 10th September anyway.
The committee are meeting again on Thursday to make a decision on leagues, as well as trainings for next week. This is once we have heard further information from both ASB and Sport NZ.

The following leagues will restart this weekend (11-12 September):
  • Women’s 3 and Executive Plate
  • Masters 1-6 and Over 45
  • Horowhenua/Kapiti*
  • Wairarapa Leagues*
  • U17 Capital Development League
*as these competitions are on natural surfaces, games this weekend will be dependent on availability of fields from councils and providers.

The following competitions will restart from September 18:
  • Central League
  • Men’s Capital Premier
  • Capital 1 catch-up game
  • Capital 4 play-off (if required)
  • Women’s Capital Premier Cup
We would again like to reiterate that no team must play their remaining games and any defaults will not be met with a fine. If any teams do not want to finish their season, they can communicate this to Operations Manager Blair@capitalfootball.org.nz.

With the announcement that the Wellington region will move to COVID Alert Level 2 from this Wednesday we are happy to announce that we will be making a return to community hockey this weekend. Games will go ahead at all Wellington Hockey venues and operating under the Level 2 protocols.
The remaining 5 weeks of our Open Grade competition will resume from this Saturday (September 11) with the season extending 3 weeks to complete in full.
Our Secondary competition will resume the following week from Monday the 13th of September. All grades of our Primary competition will also be making their return this Saturday.
Check out the draws for our Open Grade and Secondary competitions here. We are still working to update the Primary Grade draws and they will be available to the public ASAP.

NW are committed to seeing out the 2021 Winter season, however we are unable to resume the competition until we reach level 2 or below. NW will be putting the following plan in place to create some certainty for our members moving forward. 
 
Netball will not run through the school holidays or into Term 4. View the last possible dates for finals through the link on the right.

New Zealand Rugby (NZR) has confirmed the Bunnings Warehouse NPC, Farah Palmer Cup (FPC) and Heartland Championship, outside of Auckland, will recommence from Friday 17 September.

At Alert Level 2, teams at all levels of rugby can safely return to training from tomorrow, but NZR has stipulated that matches will not resume until Friday 17 September, to ensure players have sufficient time to safely prepare for a return to play.

Tennis NZ are following Sport NZ for specific guidelines for the sport and recreation sector relating to Alert Level 2.  It is expected that Sport NZ may not have new Level 2 guidelines ready until 8th September (Wednesday morning).

It is fantastic news that we will be moving to alert level 2 from 23:59 this evening (Tuesday 7 September). We will be publishing comprehensive level 2 rules and measures on our website (under the COVID-19 tab) as we receive them from sport NZ over the next couple of days. We will update you shortly once we have assessed everything and are adhering to the guidelines of Level 2 with consultation with Sports NZ and Netball NZ to see how the remainder of the season for both Primary and Senior competitions is looking.
