Register for our upcoming Tū Manawa Active Aotearoa Breakfast Forum

23 July 2021

On Wednesday 4 August, Nuku Ora is hosting a Breakfast Forum for organisations looking to apply during upcoming funding rounds for Tū Manawa Active Aotearoa for the Wellington region. Organisations can apply to both the Open Fund (open 2 August) and Smaller Project Fund (open 30 August) for programmes or projects delivering play, active recreation, and sport experiences for tamariki and rangatahi. These may be new or already operating.

The Breakfast Forum will focus on supporting potential applicants with the quality of their applications and will cover key considerations for a successful application including:

  • review of the first year of the Tū Manawa fund
  • key administrative changes for Nuku Ora for year two of the fund
  • how to gather comprehensive evidence of need
  • discussion on quality experience through delivery
  • defining ‘play’ and its characteristics
  • discussion on understanding the in-school setting

The forum will start at 7:00am in our Wellington Office, at Level 1, 223 Thorndon Quay. A light breakfast will be provided.

We ask that those attending please review the current information regarding the Tū Manawa Fund before attending this event.

Register now

Noting that Tū Manawa can provide funding across play, active recreation, and sport, Nuku Ora would love to see a range of entities attending this forum. The forum will be recorded for those that cannot attend, but given that this session will be interactive we strongly encourage applicants to attend in person if possible, to make the most of the opportunity.

There will be a chance at the end of the forum to arrange a time to meet with our Partnerships Advisor Jamie, to discuss the specifics of your application ahead of submission.
