Green Prescription (GRx) is a free service that improves the health and wellbeing of communities through physical activity and nutrition support, impacting sustainable, healthy lifestyle behaviour change. Through education, removal of barriers, and development of personal skills GRx aims to enhance physical, mental and social wellbeing.
How we support
We can provide support to both individuals or whānau, adapting based on need (which might be as little as a one-off contact), but could also include:
- Face-to-face consultations (in homes, in the community or online) with a Programme Advisor, with regular follow-ups for up to 12 months
- Resources and advice around healthy eating, physical activity and general wellbeing
- Motivation and goal-setting support
- Practical cooking and food workshops
- Physical activity tasters, and support to link into community events and physical activity programmes
If you’re just after direction, ideas and inspiration, why not check out our new Wellbeing Hub? This is a collection of resources, including physical activity and recipe directories.
